500 pages – hard cover – all colour and with around 5000 items illustrating a fantastic variety of antiques and collectables. Every item is fully described and carries a current market valuation.

Doubles as a Price Guide.

The 2014 series
opens with an introductory boxed set of 4 x 1 hour DVDs, filmed throughout Australia
and taking you to a myriad of locations
to see things and to meet people
who will bring you lots of fun,
entertainment, information and,
above all, enjoyment.

But read on, there’s so much more …

‘Get Carter’ is a
refreshing new concept in TV shows
about antiques, collectables and other stuff.

Running for half an hour the show is fast, funny, informative, interesting and above all, it’s real!

The people are real – the deals are real. The collections are real and the fun is real.

‘It’s a breath of fresh air’ (Dave Muncey, WA).

Soon to be a TV show

This is a totally unique book. It’s not a history book, it’s more of a personal narrative and recollections of an amazing phenomenon that’s unlikely to ever happen again. During the period of the 1950s to 1970s

Portobello Road became the centre of the world for antiques and attracted movie stars, royalty, gangsters, spivs, amazing characters, serial killers, totters, vagabonds and money – lots of money.

I know, because I was there. Alan.
