Welcome to our new 'antiques, collectables and all sorts of other stuff warehouse': First the good news:
Our Gala Opening on the weekend of Friday 8th went off with a big bang, lots of compliments about the warehouse and displays etc. The Internet site also went off with a big bang, crashing on the first day because of too many visitors - some 45,000 photos were opened in just 24 hours! That is ASTONISHING, but we now have a lot of satisfied customers and we're busy packing and sending all over Australia.

This is an actual warehouse : Big, bold and beautiful. The main purpose of the warehouse is to have somewhere safe for people to go who want to dispose of all or part of their collections, and to be able to do so in confidence, and at the same time have somewhere for those who are still collecting to find items that have never been on the open market and to be able to buy them with confidence. Both sides can do this because we guarantee that every item in the warehouse is correctly described (including any faults) and each carries a 'money back guarantee' in that regard. We also handle every sale personally, including packing and shipping from the warehouse Australia wide - and that includes furniture too. This means that if you're a buyer you deal with us and we take care of everything for you. If you're a seller you deal directly with us and we find buyers for you.* Plus! Every item in the warehouse is very reasonably priced.

Now some good and bad news combined:
On Sunday 10th March my wife of 51 years, June (we were at school together), went into hospital for open heart surgery, a really horrible operation that was entirely successful but which will lay her low for a few months and that has several long term recriminations. The major problem we're facing is that I can no longer travel throughout Australia to compile our Price Guides and June won't be able to work on them for the foreseeable future. That means that I can't continue with our publishing business. So, after 31 'interesting' years, we're closing it down forever as of now. I'm sorry to tell you that the end of our era has come and there will be no more books from us*
